  • Help with Echo Smartpen

I just wanted to know if I took my laptop and echo smartpen over to geek squad, will they able to help me with my echo smartpen 8GB pen? I submitted a ticket and chatted with a livescribe agent but nothing seems to be working on their part. So my computer seems not to be able to read the pen anymore and I don't know what to do from this point on. I have four USB cables but the echo desktop software isn't able to detect the pen but my laptop still sees it as connected, I do not know why this is so. My laptop is an Asus laptop...I don't know any other info of it as it was given... More...
  • Warranty Help

My son's ASUS netbook it still under warranty. Last month the hard drive was replaced, however, no one replaced/ reinstalled the operating system. Geek Squad says because I don't have the recovery CD they cannot do it unless I pay $30. The netbook didn't come with recovery CDs and no one told me I had to make my own by hooking the netbook up to an external drive. The geek squad rep says that's my problem because it was my responsibility even though I was never told to do so and don't know enough about computers to know that. He was not helpful at all. He basically... More...

During the first twenty three months months covered by the contract, I had no occasion to call Geek Squad. The computer worked reasonably well. On August 23rd, 2011, a few short days before the contract was to expire, my computer crashed. I dutifully called Geek Squad, and found that the earliest they could schedule a service call was on August 31st. The customer service representative that I spoke with advised me that... More...

  • Frigidaire

The dryer part of my stack unit was overheating and I called Geek Squad for service. The woman I spoke with was very pleasant and helpful. In the course of reporting my problem, I told her the washer/dryer unit was tucked in a corner of a laundry area and would be awkward to get at. She said she was making a note of that on the service request. The morning of the scheduled service, the technician called to confirm the time. He was having trouble with his phone and kept repeating his questions and raising his voice. I felt he was very rude and abrupt. He asked if I'd looked... More...
